about
Hi, my name is Nora.
I was born in Prague / Czech Republic. In my youth I moved to Berlin in Germany where I graduated at the University of Arts in Product Design with the focus on porcelain and its industrial manufacturing.
2017 I decided to learn wheel throwing and since then I didn´t stop to experiment and trial and error with this beautiful natural matter. Nowadays I am based in Florence / Italy where I am continuing to refine my skills inspired by the local heritage and Tuscan light.
Clay is a natural material which undergoes so many different stages from being super soft and smooth to leather hard until after two firings you can hold the ready ceramic object in your hands. It is a fascinating material which has the beauty to reflect the manuality of the maker.
I am working with different clay bodies all fired at a high temperature of 1240 degrees Celsius as well as porcelain. The result is food safe and dishwasher safe tableware. Each piece is entirely handmade and wears the signature of the maker.
The material and manufacturing method offer an endless range of shape and color variations.
